South Park World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft: It proved hugely popular everywhere it was released and by 2005's close it had more than five million subscribers worldwide. Both NPC's were removed when the boats were fixed. This made modding infinitely easier and less reliant on third party software.

The unofficial title: "Find the Terrorist Web Sites and Then Help Shut Down the Ones Hosted by American Companies." Of course, it's anything but a game -- especially to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which has found many of those sites.

Blizzard Shows Off Two

Blizzard is showing off two promising properties at E3 this week in L.A. - it's online role-playing game World of Warcraft and its stealth action game StarCraft: Ghost. The beta version of World of Warcraft (which is currently being tested by thousands of users around the world) is available for hands-on play at the show at several locations. World of Warcraft lets players assume the roles of legendary Heroes and interact with thousands of other players online as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast world inspired by the Warcraft game franchise. World of Warcraft Auction Houses

Blizzard Entertainment, on its official World of Warcraft forums, revealed that Auction Houses will soon be launched in the game. The auctions will allow buyers and sellers to do business in-game in a safe and rewarding way. For sellers, the system allows them to set the minimum price of an item, while buyers can search for items, place bids (and if they win it) have items delivered new in-game mail system for pickup. An Auction House will be placed in each major city (Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Ogrimmar, Thunderbluff and Undercity) and will be faction specific. One non-faction auction will be available allowing for the sale of items across factions. Hit the link above for full details.

World of Warcraft Patch Update

Readers who have been following the progress of the World of Warcraft know that the response to the game has been extraordinary. Many of the guilds in the game are already treating the title like a full-blown product - even to the point of getting upset on message boards when game systems get shuffled around, items get nerfed, removed altogether or (as in the last patch), when everyone's quest flags are reset. It'd be hard to find fault with the game's latest 190MB patch, though, as it improves the game's look quite a bit and adds three new elements to the game that were badly needed.
